Mary-Jane Newton was born in India and grew up in Germany. She is the author of three poetry collections, Of Symbols Misused (2011), Unlocking (2013, both published by Proverse Hong Kong), and Cruel Little Bird (2016, OrientOccident Press), and her work has been published in various literary journals and anthologies internationally.
